Debi's Health

Many of you have noticed that we are much slower at responding to email than we used to be. This is because Debi has been very sick. Her Schleroderma has been progressing over the past 6 months. In October she lost most of her vision. In December and January she had major problems with seizures.

Last week she found herself having significant trouble swallowing. We (and the doctors) initially thought this was from swelling in her neck. However, we found that the muscles in her throat are no longer functioning properly. They have put her on a liquid diet and are continuing to run tests.

I want to assure you that I am still running the store and business. Please understand if it takes a while to get orders sent. The home-healthcare program which will enable us to have someone stay with her during the day will finally start in April. This will enable me to work in the store regularly soon.

    What an inspiration you are! Having your own store, while dealing with all of your health issues…doesn’t really give any of us any excuses! God bless you!
