Over the past 12 months Debi’s health has declined considerably. It now appears that her illness has turned into a relapsing form with relapses occurring every 4-6 weeks for about 4-6 weeks. Each relapse has been significantly worse than the preceding relapse. Her latest relapse began around Memorial Day. This latest relapse has been marked by 10-15 seizures per day and extreme weakness. Setting up in bed to eat a few bites is like running a marathon for her. We moved into a new handicapped accessible apartment over Memorial Day weekend. She didn’t even make it back to the front room of the new apartment until 3 weeks later. Between some things we have figured out and some new medicine the doctor is trying she now has enough strength to walk around the apartment (some) and has had very few seizures the past couple of days. Nevertheless, it is clear that she has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
Since she has been so sick, we haven’t been able to have the store open much this past month. So we have decided that we will close the store in Woodland Park. We will continue to run the online store, and hope to announce some enhancement soon.
Thank you for your continued support during this very difficult time for us.
